It was a day like any other day,
We said our good byes on that September day
Never in my wildest dreams could I see,
 That the love of my life be taken from me
 
Oh I reach up to the heavens and touch the stars
I know in my heart that's where you are
I'd tell you all the things I didn't get to say
Hold you tight and say I love you
This to God I beg, I pray, This to God I beg I pray
 
I reached into the closet and grabbed what you wore
The scent of your skin still haunts me more
I cried so much that I lost my way
Not a day goes by that I can't say
 
I'm at the gravesite with an empty heart and soul
My arms are aching cause it's you I want to hold
A day won't go by, that I'll see your face
All those memories, I just can't erase
 
They tell me you're in heaven,
Safe from harm and Safe from pain
It’ good to hear that I’ll see you again
In my heart I'll never forget you
The Love we had still remains

As of 9/22/2020 I dedicate this to my Ami (mom) as she died in 2016. I miss her so much.
